Time for something I've been meaning to do for a while, that is to start using this section of the site to keep you up to date on what I'm working on.

Firstly I decided that I could improve on an old piece of work. I sculpted Bill Shankly a couple of years ago and intended to sell castings of the piece.

Having never been overly happy with the likeness or the hands I decided to take a wax casting of the original and re-sculpt these parts, you can see the original head on the left.

With his new head and hands, and a base that will now be molded as part of the finished piece he was ready to mold once again, hopefully for the last time! This process is about 75% complete here, all going well I should be able to start casting soon, I'll be using the 'cold cast bronze' process.

I wanted to make a diorama for a long time, so I decided using a couple of characters from 'Gears of War' could be cool, so obviously I have to finish and adjust the pose of this guy, and start the second character! It's a long way off and a personal piece so this one may take a while........

Yes I know, I only have two caricature pieces in my gallery! This is the thing that most needs my attention, and also the thing that I enjoy the most, so I have a couple of new ones in the works, below Aerosmith's (not American Idol's) Steve Tyler.....

.....and The Inbetweeners.

And finally a pretty large piece of a character from one of my favourite movies of recent years, Rose McGowan as 'Cherry' from 'Planet Terror'. This is about 20" tall and again still a fair bit of work to do with this one........

What's crackin' Chris?
Just saying, good luck with the Wedding Fayre soon. Get loads of cards handed out, and keep on being a badass.

Plus, I wanted to see if a year on, that your comments system still works.
