Time for a long overdue update I think. At the end of 2010 I got to spend some time in New York city during 'Illustration week'. My Amy Winehouse piece got accepted into American Illustration 29 so I went over there to attend the launch party.
I got to stay with top 3D artist Liz Lomax which was very cool! I even got to help out a little with her huge window display for Barneys which you can see on her site.
We worked out of the excellent studio Fifty Five in Brooklyn where we lived on thai takeaways and listened to 80's rock, good times!
I also got to meet 3D artist Kira Shaimanova who I got to work with a little on the Barneys project (pictured below at the book launch), as well as Chris 'Red nose studio' Sickels and some other excellent illustrators including Chelsea Canlas, Sam Singh and Kate Thornley.
A damn fine time was had, I met some great people, ate some good food, saw my work in AI 29, and most importantly I found the Ghostbusters firehouse!
